Avoiding the Hassle of Carrying Plastic Grocery Bags

In this time of COVID, we must all make sacrifices. Rather than use my fabric grocery bags with their generous and soft handles, I must accept plastic bags that dig into my arms as I try to carry eight at a time from the car into the kitchen.

It's good, but Ms. preference is the fat little finger formed handles, connected to elongated hook below suspending plastic shopping bags. It seems to have started in Europe, where public transportation is relied on to a much higher degree.
I use a pair of large carabiners, even set down they stay together,and grip is padded.
Contrary to the homemade theme, but a couple points for adaptation; think I bought them at HF. They make those OK enough.

at least one of its uses is to suspend shopping bag string handles and thus provide a (more) comfortable T-handle while transporting.

Aside: I bought the pictured Fieldmaster model because it has a saw which I use for impromptu drive-by pruning and a Phillips head driver instead of the usual corkscrew. (I have yet to encounter a corked bottle of wine on my neighborhood walks.)

Marv's link is the Swiss Army Knife of web pages, about longest sellers pitch I can recall. But halfway through No. 14 is identified 'Multi-purpose Hook (parcel carrier)'. Old fan of Swiss Army/ Victorinox products, seemingly far back as I can recall.
Pure entertainment, scan over the 'SwissChamp' model; everything but diesel generator and landing gear.......

I also have older J. Rodgers cutlery from England, terrific as well, but no parcel hook. Or corkscrew!
