AXA QC Tool Post Cross Drilling/Milling Attachment

I built this cross drilling and milling attachment (holder) to fit an AXA quick change tool post for the lathe. It fits my Micro-Mark 7 x 16 mini lathe as well an an 11" model 1955 Logan. It is has been very useful for milling flats on shafts, key ways and cross drilling of holes, etc. I have also used for cross drilling holes through hardened and chromed Thompson way shafting. It is quick to set up and align to center height and removes just as fast. Once center height is set for a particular lathe it can just be locked at that setting for future jobs without the need to do it again making for even faster set up.

I think you have a product there. Your disclosure here pretty much gives you a "poor man's patent" and the rights to make and sell them. I'd buy rough shaped extrusions and just do the finish machining on them. (simple extrusion dies with no holes in the parts are pretty cheap from many smaller suppliers of extrusions). Avoid publishing your drawing. Otherwise the Chinese or Indian competition will appear in a couple of months. EdW
