Band Saw Bodge

I have a cheep band saw, very useful for small work. The problem the size blades are no longer available. For some time I have been cutting longer blades, and silver soldering them to the right length. This is the bodge I came up with. All from the rubbish bin. A rubber wheel off an industrial trolley. A piece of 1inch box steel off a TV stand. The aluminium the inner skin from a twin wall flue pipe.


Now I can get blades locally when ever I want. I can still use the blades I have shortened if desperate.
