Did the porcupine return the following night? Many times when they have been frightened, they move one never to return. Since they are a docile creature and do not possess any means of fighting. Their only defense is to raise their hair " quills' and swat with their tails. All 4 of my dogs have painfully learned to keep their distance and just bark at one until it leaves, and never to frighten it with no escape route.Quote:
