    What's its use?

Unless your job is cleaning the scat out of the bear enclosure in the zoo while the bears are in the enclosure, I can think of no place where anyone would want to use this suit.

You're not going to go for a hike wearing it.

You can't don it quickly enough if you encounter a bear while not wearing it.

It's too clumsy for a vet to use while castrating conscious bears.

It would be useless against a bear anyway, well it would probably afford protection against a cub but not mama or papa bear, all of those overlapping plates would do nothing but allow them to latch on with their 3-inch-long claws then just rip the thing apart. The best protection against a large aggressive bear is to not be there in the first place. Baring that the next best thing is a 454 Casual, if possible, try to aim the shot up through the lower jaw into the brain stem. A heart shot might take 3 or more before he drops.

They don't show the guy after taking the suit off, no teeth, two black eyes, fractured jaw and a lifetime of back problems but no bite marks.

I remember seeing interviews with this guy like 15-20 years ago. He's totally nuts. Like legitimately a crazy person. <<google google google>> Nevermind. Was. He's dead.

Not to mention the cost of something like that...

That isn't a bear protection suit, that's an urban survival suit for NYC subways and street walking in Chicago and Philadelphia!

I doubt if street walkers would find those suits would help them in their business. Most want to wear the least amount of clothing as possible

I remember that as well. He was featured on a few TV shows at the time. If I recall it right, he wanted a suit that would protect him while he realized his dream of hanging out in close proximity to feeding bears in Alaska or something similarly crazy. That is what he came up with.
