Bell cast cutaway - photo

Was this the mold for the Apollo capsule, im still not convinced we made it to the moon. (light the blue touch paper) he he
Its interesting to see the mold for a bell, i wonder how the manage to do a pour for somthing the size of Big Ben (the bell) in Elizabeth Tower (for those tourists who dont know). To heat up a few ton of Bronze/Brass and do a single pour would be a feet of engineering in itself.

If any of you guys havent found Abom79 (Adam) on youtube yet you are in for a treat.
This man is like an old school genius, he is keeping the old techniques and tradititional machining alive. I love following this guy.
You all know i have about ten projects on the go (enough to last a lifetime) and an addict of homemedetools. This case is no different, my furnace is about 30% built. money is always the issue, materials and tooling are expensive and hard to find in the UK.
refractory is the hurdle at the moment, ok its only £100 for the pizza oven clay but its not available in my wallet at this present time.
Honey-Do's dont pay
If you watch the next clip tell me you dont want to have a go yourselves
