Incra rules.... Brilliant for marking out.
About 15 years ago I sent an email to them asking for a metal workers version where it would be 2mm to 5mm thick and did not have the sub divisions. Their rules are quite thin and fragile when used on steel, works OK if the steel is cleaned first so you can see the pencil marks.

That is interesting, but a lot of money. It is easy to make one when needed. I often use thin aluminum sheet, like flashing material, to make simple marking gauges for making repeated layouts. Use either snips or a triangle file to make notches as required in the edge for the pencil. I have a box for previous ones. each is labeled what is was used for.
