Bending jig.
Is it cheating to use this to hot-form spirals? (Or other shapes) I saw a similar jig on Pinterest. I think it is commercially available. But I would rather make my own.Attachment 8691
This is simply a salvaged hot plate, about 8mm thick with lots of holes drilled in it. I laid out the holes according to a matrix of geometric spirals I liked. The plate is screwed to 2 planks, laid crosswise, on top of a lazy Susan, so I can rotate it.Attachment 8697Attachment 8697Attachment 8698
When I get round to using it, I shall report back.
