The Best Tools for cleaning Carbs

The Best Tools for cleaning Carbs
I have not needed clean a carb in a few years and I am glad that I could not find my old carb cleaning kit
Using the needle with the precision air flow of the inflator worked like a charm
Disclaimer ( do not use wires or files to clean small passages in the carb it could effect emissions and performance )
All of the guys selling the carbs will say not to use anything to clean the small passages
So what can I do ? buy a new one
The carb in the video is from a Kolher CH740 on my small bobcat
It has 20 to 30 hours on the engine but it sat for three years a new carb shipping and taxes and duty about 500 CND
The last 2 post have been moved am I putting them in the wrong place ?

Have cleaned or rebuilt over a hundred carbs in my lifetime. I have never used anything that is metal for cleaning passages. Only small soft bristle brushes. Along with carb cleaner. Never seen a passage that needed extreme cleaning. Then brake cleaner and a blow out with air.

    Hi mbshop
    thank you for your reply
you are right in some cases the steel files might be overkill
on the last job i could not find me carb tool kit so i came up with this one
this worked very will the air blow tool was awesome nice two hand control what would make it better would be a foot control
another idea for the very small holes was to modify a real needle braes it to the tip of the inflater
    what do you think ?
the only help i could get was 1(but a new carb) 2 (soak it in sea-foam)
