Banggood are spreading like a virus on YouTube right now, so many machinist channels are turning into reveiw channels their stuff it's despairing. What gets me is that a couple well knowns have also started using BG stuff and they have a shop filled with Mitatoyo, Starret and other precision tooling that many a hobbyists only ever get to drool over but rarely ever own.

I understand that it might be the only way, in some cases, for a few to enjoy this hobby and maybe even a benificial move for others to get a cheap version of something to try out before sinking a heavy investment into the decent version but it just seems like a step backward for the working machinist to consider using their stuff seriously and giving free items to YouTubers is BG's sneaky way to get a cheap form of advertising is my guess.
