    Bicycle vehicle ramp stunt fail. The rider, Colin Winkleman, broke both of his ankles, and his wrist, and his leg, and cracked a vertebra. He never rode again, lost all of his sponsorships, and committed suicide the next year.

    Poor calculation of speed. that van could have been driving at half the speed it was going.
    But very low speed practice rides with a completely smooth flat surface on top of the van between the ramps would have ben a good idea.
    The Motocross racers always start off a race with small jumps and work their speed up to achieve more hang time in the air A race never begins with a 20 or 30 foot high jump .

    It never ceases to amaze me why people do stuff like this.
    What was he and the rest of them thinking?

    Like said above, "You can't fix Stupid".
