It's your own life if you want to gamble with it. Sure you can argue "I have the right of way", but at what cost?? A severe injury or even death! What if a driver goes into a diabetic coma or sudden heart attack and fails to stop at the pedestrian crossing? Will you be happy to rest in peace while your relatives collect the insurance? In Tempe, Arizona, a self-driving Uber struck and killed a woman while walking her bike across the street. The Arizona woman was behaving just like the subject woman in the video, she crossed the street without swiveling her head -trusting everyone on the road- and only when the Uber car reached her, did she finally turn her head.
This woman was not gambling. She was aware, watching and actively tried to avoid being hit by a clueless moron on a bike. The guy on the bike had more than enough time to stop or swerve to avoid blasting a defenseless pedestrian but obviously felt he was entitled to ride through because his time and destination were more important than anything else in existence. The guy should be cited and if I were the woman, I'd sue him into oblivion. (Cue the "anti-courts" crowd).

Don't see what the Uber issue or other stuff was about, certainly not this issue.
