A big aluminum di paper weight?

When I get an idea in my head, I usually have to run with it so one day I felt like making a di. (maybe one day I'll make another just so I can day dice!)

Anyway, it doesn't actually do anything, just sits there looking pretty. I'll call it a paper weight. Will end up in a display case I'm working on.

    It's made from 2 X 2 aluminum and weighs 12.2 oz

Since I'm new to machining, it gave me a chance to use my new DRO's on the mill. Can't get much simpler but was fun anyway.

    Tools used to make this:
    1) Band saw
    2) Milling machine
    3) 1/4 inch round nose router bit (to make the "pips")
    4) 1/2 inch straight cutter
    5) Belt sander

    Trivia:
    1) The dots on dice are called "Pips".
    2) Each side and it's opposite add up to 7. Ex. 1 & 6, 2 & 5 and 3 & 4.
