    Jon; I do not see any damage to the canopy. And with the EMP pulse of lightning, I doubt if the video from the charged coupled device (the camera retina) is reliable. There is a bright wide horizontal captured, and I would believe that is upset of the electronics for the duration of the strike.
    The message I got from pilots is they experience temporary blindness from the intensity of the flash. And it's a scary event as it upset's avionics. The older stuff was less susceptible, but newer digital can experience processor reset. When the autopilot disconnects and your still in shock, worry sets in about other damage.
    Unless my computer is rendering this video differently then yours.....
