Bitcoin Seed Phrase Stamping Jig - Laser Cut

I based the design of this jig off the "blockmit" 3D printed jig. This jig allows the user to stamp his/her seed phrase onto stainless steel washers for long term storage.

Plans are free in the video's description.

    Cheers yall!

Instead of spending real money on electrons I will continue to invest in precious metals, Lead, Steal, Aluminum, Copper. and land to put it on. If I can't hold in in my hand haul it in my truck or walk on it, then to me it doesn't actually exist.

It is hard to beat land and steel (iron) for utility value. Bitcoin is very similar to gold in that it is portable, fungible, difficult to counterfeit, resistant to destruction, and - most importantly - has controlled scarcity. Gold and other precious metals do have industrial use, but that use is very narrow and mostly limited to high technology. Unlike steel, gold has little inherent value; it just has all of the properties that make it useful as currency.

Bitcoin seed phrases allow people to store and retrieve any amount of money, from one cent to hundreds of billions of dollars, with just 12 words. The words can be split up, encrypted, hidden, memorized, etc. This is conceptually similar to escaping a war-torn area hundreds of years ago with your gold in your pockets. The advantage of seed phrases is that they can be stored in your mind, which makes them difficult to detect or steal.

So when you bought those things you handed the seller what? Both of you had faith that the worthless piece of green ink paper with a number printed on it actually had some value. Based on what? Or your credit card transmits some electrons with the faith that you would pay up with a piece of your land? Or for your mortgage someone, on your behalf, carried a few pounds of paper with an intrinsic value of zero to the seller based on the faith that you would eventually make everyone whole?

Oh yea, of little faith . . .

Yes, it's all done on "faith", or its monetary equivalent: creditworthiness. Money is so ubiquitous that it's easy to forget that it is an invention, same as the wheel.

1928 US bills were the last series to be redeemable in gold, and this practice was forbidden with the 1934 Gold Reserve Act. No countries use a gold standard anymore. A 1928 5-dollar bill:

This concept is central to bitcoin, which attempts to replace the faith-based system with verifiable scarcity. Only a fixed number of bitcoins - 21 million - can be mined.

When I was living and working in Kuwait for a brief period of time, I dabbled my hand at trading one country's currency for another. the US dollar and the euro the Chinese yuan and the Indian Rupe at the time I was doing this along about the time Obama was making his run to become president until around 2010 were all in a volatile phase at one time or another. My problem was the KWD was so stable it was difficult to ever catch it on the low end when I decided to cash out. When I finally returned to Texas 2013 the strength of the Dinar was to my advantage though. with the gas prices hovering around $5.00 a gallon the dollar was at its lowest against the Dinar in quite some time. my accidental timing was good.
The Kuwaiti Dinar is the strongest currency in the world.
