I was wondering, why the hinge ? Why not making a dovetail assembly at square angle ?

Hey Christophe! That would work just as well but I wanted to be able to hang it from the leg. Besides that, in the past I've used mallets to squeeze joints together and thought the metal pin of the hinge would make it longer than any joint I put together. if you do one with a dovetail, please send me a picture!
