Here's a phrase you don't often hear in a boat build thread: "I plan to do everything myself from casting the keel to sewing the sails".

This junk dory, built by Dan on junkdorybuild.blogspot.com, is based on the J Benford sailing dory design. Dan was meticulous in documenting the build process with numerous photos and videos; the blog starts off with Dan sitting on a pile of wood, and ends up with an image of this beautiful boat sailing away.

I've often said that a cabin build is never complete without a woodburning stove. However, this is the first boat build I've seen with a homemade woodburner, which Dan built from an old diving bottle.
