Apparently, a Sonex is a 2-seat sport plane, built up from a kit. What initially caught my eye with this build was the nifty color scheme that highlights the sporty profile of the aircraft. The build page has several subsections with plenty of pictures, so you get an idea of the detail and craftsmanship that went into building this plane. Very nice work! But then, when your life depends on getting things right, one does tend to be meticulous about building a plane. Interesting, functional design, with great performance from a reliable engine. Reminds me of the philosophy of the Lotus 7.
