Boring a stationary part - GIF

I've spent many hours line boring ""stationary" parts, like main bearing bores on big presses. we used a pretty much all shop built hydraulic set up to turn the bar and feed it.

Yup. Line boring is a big deal, particularly on job sites. We did a few 40-ish foot wide ones last year. They weren't continuous, but there were bushings at each end that had to line up. So we needed a bar that long to go between both bushings. It was on one of the two machines in this video (either foreground or background, not sure which).
