This, is a portable brake lathe, but that's not mentioned in the AI voice read script. Neet Idea to keep the rotor referenced to the hub it's mounted on. At least this does not look like a bench mounted brake lathe, but vehicle mounted operation.

I guess, the question is, how much does this benefit the overall system? Granted, it does reduce uneven wear on the (replaceable) pads, but does allow the pads to last longer, or promote early failure due to reduced rotator mass?

My inadequate experience with rotors, if they have warped, they probably will again. Resurfacing, has the OEM limits, but I would only do it to remove the glazed areas, from pad failure.
But a pair of rotors from eBay last January for my Nissan was $25USD free shipping, and were ceramic coated. But I think that depends on the model. And if you are willing to buy cheap import brake components. It's not like they fail instantaneously, and so far, zero issues.
