Just thinking ..... If the helmet inflates on impact, wouldn't that already be a little too late to do any good?
If I recall correctly, it fires based on accelerator and gyroscope signals, not on impact. I'd almost guess that inflating on impact might actually make matters worse. Maybe the pat on the guys neck fooled the accelerator somehow. Hopefully a freak occurrence.Quote:
