Building my first cnc mill.

It’s actually going to happen. Building my first Cnc router/mill. Using a Mach3 motion card. Wish I had waited and bought a 4 to 6 axis card.
I have ArtSoft Mach3. Hope I can get it to work. Using a laptop with windows 10 but also have a desktop Pc in garage . I installed Linux CNC (EMC2) on that unit. For cad, I have fusion 360 but am struggling to use it.
I am a bit handicapped. I was stricken with GBS but now I can walk again. Not much strength in my hands, but this project is really good for me. Retired now, but I have traveled all over the world, installing various data libraries. Can’t get over how easy it is, to put these parts together and actually create my own system. Twenty years ago, it would have been impossible as everything was proprietary.

Sounds like a plan. That blows my mind too; once you get going on a project these days, how easy it really is, both with the available technology, and the net for support.
