We used to build these all the time, but the ones we made had old 1 ton truck axles really low geared around 6.5 to one ratio . made full decks on then like a proper shredder with a 24" disk and swing blades By mounting only 2 of the duel wheels turned outboard it allowed for a full 6 ft shredder. the deep gear ratio meant the dixk spun faster they would cut not just beast the brush.
This thing he built is a pretender.
Never try to tell me it can't be done

Including the rush of public display, didn't bother to remove shocks or torque bar.

Lol, With a louver in the truck bed? Combination weed trimmer & stump grinder...

After a few tries he might get the hang of fabbing up a 'blade' not so prone to deformation. A long thin rod swinging from a small center attachment, looks right to who?

Now, now........I happen to have one of those little beasts, 1997 version. It decimates my un-curated vegetation with aplomb. The rain we get promotes excess volunteer growth. It's a 'Pro Trimmer Mower', Pro being operative term.
As of Sunday more Pro than ever; instead of return to firebase so often, can operate extended patrols deep in enemy territory equipped now with self contained destructive device storage.
