This Southeast Georgia cabin was built by TomSmith on Small-Cabin.com.
There are some heat problems to deal with in this part of the country, so the builder added insulation and a 5,000 BTU air conditioning unit that runs off a Honda 2000 generator.
What's interesting here is that this cabin was built in a highly flood-prone area, about 30' in front of a river. To prevent flood damage, the cabin was built 13 feet up on poles.
The builder and his wife visit it about 15 times per year, often accessing it by canoe via a waterway. Or, as another poster put it:
"sometimes you go to the beach and sometimes the beach comes to you."
