At time I made parts for hangar door on American Tool Works Made in 1918

That's one headed for the printer! Many of us here are because of a South Bend. Prolific output, can't imagine how many or range of distribution.
American Tool Works for June. It's a bronze or babbit head stock; a drip oiler right atop the spindle. Grandpa to my avatar. Familiar with some of them, all tingly looking at big swing capacity; but August [a special month to me] on trundle wheels? Such a bed would require twice the iron of comparable swing to maintain rigidity. Anyone seen the like?
And, September [?] THAT'S a lathe bed, no rigidity questions. The wonder is what means were provided to level such construction. Notice the additional way and carriage support at floor level?
