Agreed Marv. What I take from it is that you were mentioning projects that worked in harmony with the environment. As this one did. And projects that were for lasting grandeur. Many things have been lost to time. I don't believe anything other than human ingenuity had parts in any of these things. Some of the projects were indeed long term. And a few were done rather rapidly. The great pyramid was rather rapid. Giving us an idea of the work force and the economic management required to pull of such a grandios accomplishment. Some of the projects in China were no less impressive for the scale and accomplishment in relatively short time periods. Tomb of the first emperor comes to mind as a shining example.
