Parked on the beach too close to the shore at low tide.

This happened in Cornwall, UK in 2020. The driver was on a steep road that descends towards the water and when they tried to turn around on the beach, the car became stuck in the sand. The driver then abandoned their BMW

There is no turning on some of those steep Cornish roads, single track, occasional lay-bys for oncoming traffic to pass.
