What is your reason for needing a hammer with a carbide inserts? I would expect that the brittleness of carbide would be detrimental for a hammer. Or am I missing something?
It would depend on the type of carbide as to how brittle it was. Maybe a C12 grade. My "hit" :p is it is for soft metals and peening and shaping small sheet metal pieces¿
You can use them to straighten out knives that have warped after heat treatment they're like 75 dollars if you buy one
