That's a pretty cool piece of equipment.
Initially I misinterpreted the video and thought you switched modules to change steering, and it couldn't change on the fly. But after looking at more videos on their site, I believe they were showing how easily it is to swap out a faulty unit for a new one. It appears the steering is programmable & dynamic for each module.
I worked for 25+ years at Intralox, a leading conveyor equipment corporation. I held a few positions with them, but spent my last 10-15 years as a mold maker. I typically didn't get to see installations, but my shop was next to the R&D area where many designs were tested. They have several innovative sorters and transfers available. Part of their philosophy is to keep everything end-user serviceable & rebuildable, as well as hygienic for food operations.
