    Center marking a blind hole

I needed to mark the center of a hole in the bracket, holding the handle for a DIY sextant, but didn't have a marker short enough to get between the grip and the bracket. So, I put a mark on a piece of marking tape, and slipped it under the bracket. When I considered the mark to be centered I fixed the tape to the plate, and swung the handle out of the way for drilling. Worked... perfectly. Don't know, if this is an old method that I just discovered, but thought I'd pass it along... just in case someone hasn't seen it before.
