Those things are worth their weight in gold. I had one like that, but I also had one that I made from a pair of hacked Vise Grip pliers. The Vise Grip version was very fast to use.

Snap-On sold a set of Chain Master Link pliers in the 2000's. They had 2 size adjustments and are great for baler and planter repair. As with a lot of innovative ideas Snap-On sold, they bought the rights and a set amount of units and let the company go under.
