Well thanks for the welcome gents! Today I've been converting a stock (read cheap) router table to sit next to my table saw so both tables sit at the same height and extend each other.

I removed the plastic legs from the melamine table and made a wooden frame that fastened to my main work bench by carriage bolts so that the router table is flush with it and the saw. At the same time I wanted the whole thing to pivot 90 degrees so I can access the router lock from above instead of reaching below and behind which at my age is getting pretty hard!! I used a couple of heavy 4 inch T-Hinges to fasten the table to the frame and that seems pretty solid so hopefully it all works out as planned!

In the near future I'm going to construct a belt sander. As I have already made an 8 inch disk sander I'll see if I can incorporate the two together. Cheers again!
