Car nuts know that the Suburban holds the record for the longest-running nameplate. Introduced back in 1935 and still in production today, the Suburban survived depressions, wars and oil crises. What surprises me is that it is rare to find classic Suburbans despite their resiliency over the years. Here's a nicely restored '53 courtesy of sly on HotRodders.com. Underappreciated as they may be, there's a lesson to learn from Suburbans - you don't have to be beautiful or powerful to endure.
