When I moved into the house we're in now, I went looking for where the dryer vent left the house. It was about 20' from the location of the dryer. It was all cheap plastic expandable hose and when I ripped it down to move it it weighed about 30 lbs and there was a tiny opening in the center all the way. I ran new tin and since there wasn't much room in the laundry room, I bought a periscope type vent that went straight outside 2' from the dryer. I've cleaned out the periscope part once in 8 years and only because I'd checked it for 5 years and had nearly no buildup in it. I've seen houses with a burned spot right at the dryer vent because of what's shown in the video. All it takes is a big enough spark and it just fans it like bone dry tinder!
