Why not have 3 or 4 pilot guide pins that stick out longer than the bolts?
Never try to tell me it can't be done
When I have to paint I use KBS products

I'd imagine there's stuff going on inside the cone that's doing the alignment.

There would have to be something. Trying to line up the 56 studs on large earth moving wheels is nightmare enough.

But it doesn't look like there are any guiding pins or keys in the video. If you notice them having to rotate the hub back and forth to get the bolts to go in

. . . or turn a slightly smaller shoulder diameter (not the threads), with or without a conical tip, on the ends of the bolts?

After installation of all those fasteners one of the unseen crew says, "Hey guys, we forgot to first install these special locking washers before assembly!"
