Cordless drill/screwdriver

I last used mine to drill pilot holes for re-bar "nails" in landscape ties. My father and uncle built a house with it and it's still in use.
The power does seem to fade faster than it used to though.

I use them when there are screws that the cordless stuff will not remove. THe torque you can generate with a brace is amazing. Also the forward pressure available from my Abb is kind of useful at times!

I still have this type of drill. I love antique tools.

Me too, my dad`s old brace which I need to get out and clean up. Also, if I remember correctly, it has a reversible ratchet function which is the collar just above the chuck.

I remember a time when every electrician (well most of them anyway) used a Yankee Screwdriver.

Oh how this brings back memories !! I was 8 years old when I first used it under my father’s watchful eye. Drilling a hole in the bottom of the wall to for wire to pass thru. That’s 60 some years ago. I still have 3 of them.
