While in college I worked in the sporting goods department for a department store in Ohio in the 70's. One of my jobs I used to measure (using one like on the right) and drill bowling balls. Christmas was a crazy time. They would sell the balls undrilled then people bring them back in January to be measured and drilled. Never kept count of how many I drilled, had to be in the 1,000's.
