That is not a "cut" knurling tool! It is just a common "Bump" or forming knurler, which knurls by forming the material under high pressure. A "CUT" knurler uses knurling cutters that are sharp edged placed at an angle and actually cut the knurls into the material, removing material instead of pressure forming them. A cut knurler works with far less radial pressure on the part being knurled, and can create a much smoother knurl than a forming one, and can work well on harder materials that a forming knurler can.
