I have seen a lot of odd things being in the ceramic tile/ construction trade. Last fall I was doing a bathroom renovation for a friend. The rout took me past one of the many RV parks down here.
On A Friday morning I saw some pickup trucks and some workers digging footing holes for the deck supports which was built on the side of the RV.
By Monday AM work on the deck was in progress, by Monday PM the decking was close to being done.
On Tues AM workin was being done on the 8x8 supports for the roof, by the after noon rafters were being set. On Wed. the deck and Metal roofing were complete.
On Thurs. morning half the roofing had been removed by the afternoon all of the metal and rafters and uprights were gone.
By Fri afternoon It looked like nothing had ever been done.
There could be lots of reasons, non payment, customer not satisfied, disagreement , or death.
