Dial indicator jig for tablesaw adjustment - video 6:13

A perfectly tuned tablesaw is a SAFER tablesaw!

I need to adjust my trunion and align my fence on my classic Craftsman 113 so I needed to build a jig to hold the dial indicator.

I made the jig with 2 articulating arms so I could adjust it from horizontal to vertical and everywhere in-between. This will allow me to more precisely tune my trunion while the blade is set to 45 degrees. It will also allow me to use it over at the router table for precise bit height adjustments

I'm not sure how a brittle material like cast iron wings can be bent without cracking or breaking! Perhaps it isn't cast iron or all the empty space allows some small deflection? Interested in other's thoughts.
