Some of the newer 20v tools have close to the same mountings a couple are close enough that you can shave oof some plastic and make them work.Originally Posted by chevy3755
On some of the older tools with lower voltages, you can get an adapter to the newer 20v batteries.
I've bought generic batteries to use in my Dewalt 20v tools but most of them don't hold their charge as long.
You can always change out the individual cells with new replacements in a battery if you can get it opened up without destroying it.
Never try to tell me it can't be done
