Because there was empty space on this side of the table.
I made a simple clamp rack to get that space to use.

Congratulations, Tuomas. How do we equip with these in every corner and free space?

Not having many 'F' clamps, it's worth 'C' clamps that'll run one handed. Once developed, a little wrist action, all it takes.
But they have to be within reach!

ACME threaded advance quickest, but don't grow on trees. So, hand wire-brush screws once in awhile and lube with silicone spray.

Very nice. Looks like I must have missed your earlier reply on your clamp solution. Mine is for "C" style clamps and much more primitive being made from some scrap pieces of rebar I had accumulated, but in function, almost exactly like yours. I go to lengths to make my truck and automotive parts nice, but when it comes to my stuff, I tend to make it quick and dirty with whatever is handy and less useful for something else.
