DIY 4 Axis Hot Wire Foam Cutter

I recently built a 4 axis foam cutter to cut wings for RC airplanes. To build this project I used mostly hardware store parts combined with old 3D printer components. I put together a youtube video explaining a little more of the details. The link is posted below. Let me know what you think!

Wow, terrific project and many thanks for posting here. I'm so used to the 4th axis being something rotary I love the 4 linear drives! I can imagine some of the beautiful shapes it will make. Because of current projects I have put off looking into Arduino but you have now given me a reason to start down that path. Looking forward to your other work in the future. All the best.

This is an amazing project. Well done! You can probably find other uses for it than RC planes, such as making custom foam inserts for hard cases and drawers.

The one thing I would recommend is to separate high voltage wires from your low voltage into different bundles for safety.
