Thanks for your comment, Saltfever. I get the joke, but just to be clear: I copyright all of my work. Although I do not ask for financial compensation for much of the work I produce, it remains my property to the extend the copyright laws allow. That is to say the work I post as free for individuals use under copyright is not the same as "open source." My work may not be redistributed by other persons and claimed as their own, nor may it be used for profit or modified without my permission, along with all the other restrictions intended by copyright law. Much of what I do produce will eventually be compiled (not necessarily this particular plan) into a book.
Not all of my plans are shared free of charge. My boat plans and boat building books for instance, are sold for a nominal fee through my Shoestring Shipyard web site. On occasion, I release a boat plan without charge in certain media for a brief period for promotional purposes, however all copyright laws apply in those cases as well.
Once again, I appreciate your humor, but you afforded me the opportunity to publicly explain there is a difference between material under copyright and "open source" or "public domain" materials. Thanks you for that!
