@Rorschach - Thanks! using a router was my original plan - not sure if you watched the video or not but on my hand was written "5mm rtr" - which was a reminder to go out and buy a 5mm router bit for this very task. I would still like to have the certainty of depth of cut and perfect 90° accuracy that a plunge router would give. I assume your festool rail is not the type that has the row of holes drilled - so incrementing the position for the next cut is the challenge. I have given it some (a little) thought but not tried anything yet.
