I've build a Tormek clone out of scrap metal and a slicer motor.

Here is Part 3. Now the jig for my chisels is working without water on my shoes.

Reverse rotation - might work better.
Nice build. One question - where is the wobble coming from on the wheels?

My chisel grinder is commercial and runs 'forward'. Probably about same FPM, but smaller wheel. Its rest positions chisel more atop the periphery so lessens any tendency of fluid to run down an inclined chisel.
Wet wheels aren't prone to burning edge of high carbon or HSS, so direction isn't too big a deal. Reverse though, will reduce wire edge to burnish flat.
I add two drops of dishwashing soap [hand not machine] to the tray, that increases wetting and flush away grindings. Surely it would worsen drainage off inclined chisel.
How difficult would it be to just turn the motor assembly around to make the wheels run the other way?
