    I agree, Though the conceptual idea is sound and is a good build. Perhaps, just a piece of stiff rubber hose laid on its side instead of the stop blocks the hose would deform under the weight of the door and become increasingly stiffer the more it deformed if thinner doors were rested on the device and clamp the door tighter in a more upright position, the hose would serve to prevent over centering of the return mechanism even if it did over center the hose would act as a compression spring
