How can you possibly assume that?

I'd love to know what that yellow suit make and model is, the attached video and a good supply of them could generate some fine sales numbers for sure.

The way I see it if the driver had physically looked out the window, then they could not have helped seeing a cyclist approaching, While it would be possible to not see someone in the side view mirror, good driving habits require to physically turn your head
Never try to tell me it can't be done

And you know the driver didn't do that how?

The motorcyclist put himself in a bad dumb spot, that's what cause the collision, nothing else.

No argument there, but in those cities where the small motorcycles and scooters can outnumber the cars, car and truck drivers have to be constantly aware of the less than smart things the cyclist will do. at 0:01 and 0:02 you can see the driver appeared to just barely even glance either at her door or her mirror it is hard to tell, as she was opening it, she surely didn't take any time or make any effort to physically look out and to the side or the rear, if she had we would have seen the back of her head as she would have had to lean over near the glass, once the door was open about a foot the handlebar caught it and flung it wide open ejecting the rider. The amazing thing about the whole ordeal was, how quickly the truck driver managed to stop. and how the rider managed to avoid at least having his legs crushed by the front tire, all this within the time frame of the first 3 or 4 seconds
