Tool Dress up before you use it. HSS tools have a tendency to have chip welding from cutting many materials. Make sure your tool cutting edge is clean (no chips or welded material). Use a stone to dress it up to a nice sharp clean edge before each use. This will help achieve better finish and accuracy in your work.
