Drilling a Hole In the Center of a Rod without a Lathe

Drilling a hole in the end of a rod is easy... if you own a lathe. Here is a trick for doing the task using a drill press. Don't own a drill press? All is not lost if you own a bench block or a block of metal drilled to the rod's diameter on a borrowed drill press.
